ABOUT THE BOOK - SUMMARY

Oruka Wura (Golden Ring) is a unique Yoruba book with epic story line. The book was written by Adedapo J. Adeleke and the first edition of this book was released to the public in the year 2014. The story was about Asake, who married one of his father’s slaves as husband. Asake actually came from the wealth family, however this step she took made almost everyone to hate her. Aremu, the husband of Asake was feeding hand-to-mouth and was a pauper.

This made villagers hated him more. One day, Asake met one old man, who gave her a golden ring, to be given to her daughter named Adio, for protection. On a fateful morning, Adio’s parents sent him an errand, they gave him money and put the golden ring into his finger for protection. What really happened to Adio when he reached the market? Did any issue arise? Did this ring perform special magic? How did Adio get back home? Find out these and many more in this book titled Oruka Wura (Golden Ring)
